The Eagles Mere Museum provides a journey through Eagles Mere’s 200 year history. Experience its unique story of glass making, farming, hotels, cottages, and even a narrow gauge railroad. Enjoy interactive displays for all ages and then “travel” to our upstairs gallery and witness the sights as a passenger traveling from Sonestown to Eagles Mere via our model train railroad exhibit. Our mission “is to discover, collect, preserve, exhibit and interpret the historical and cultural heritage of Eagles Mere providing educational opportunities for residents, schools, and other museums through programs of historical interest.”

Our computer allows us to produce copies of photographs, postcards etc. Also available are genealogical records, old newspapers, brochures, organizations’ records, hotel registers etc. You are welcome to view our six large Museum Galleries located in the rear of the Museum Shop. The entrance to the Shop & Museum is on the porch of the restored General Store in the heart of Eagles Mere.
